It also allows you to grow them without using any form of chemicals that commercial producers use. It is well-known and documented facts that people who are farming these vegetables commercially. Use large amount of fertilizers and pesticides. According to the researchers, these chemicals become part of the chemical constitution of the herbs and vegetables that you may use. It means that you ingest these chemicals when you eat these products. By little effort and time you can save yourself and you and your family.
Cons
Of course there are certain disadvantages that you will have to face if you are going to have the pleasure of your herb garden. First of course is the availability of space. You need to have fair amount of space to have your own green house. If you are trying to raise herbs in pots, you have to take couple of very important things into consideration. Make sure that you or anyone in your family has any allergy to plants or pollen. Also you have to realize that herbs grown in pots will be smaller.
Things you should know
Another important thing is that you will have to buy your seeds from outside to start with but you can collect the seeds and then you will become self-sufficient.
