Herbicides application
Weeds also cause a major loss in vegetable garden production. The vegetation of weeds should be reduced at appreciable level because some of the weeds act as disease carriers. Herbicides are the effective way to solve the weed problem in vegetable garden. In your vegetable garden you should use herbicides carefully. If the herbicides are not treated properly it may damage the home garden vegetables as well. 2, 4-d is an important herbicide for weeds a study by university of Illinois extension shows that, if it is used improperly there might be dangerous effects on vegetables. It is important to know the type of herbicide and its characteristics for specific weeds or herbs. Alternative of herbicide is mulching layer technique and manual pulling of weeds from vegetable garden area.
